this is the third book from the 5th wave series and I absolutely loved the first one! even though I haven't read the second one, which is the infinite sea, I actually became a lowkey fan of this series! maybe some of know know the 5th wave because of the movie, but I really recommend you to read the books because trust me, its 1000X better than the movie!

may favorites

hello, everyone!
since I'm running out of ideas for my blog post, I decided to do another monthly favorites! so, enjoy!

1. real techniques brushes (core collection)

I've heard so many good things about real techniques brushes and now I finally got my hands on them and asdfghjkl they're amazing! I recently bought this brush set online for a really good deal and it consists of 4 brushes which are: detailer brush, contour brush, pointed foundation brush, and buffing brush. It also came with a case so you can take your brushes with you easily when you're travelling. the brush quality is amazing! they're so soft, they don't shed, easy to wash/clean, and fast to dry! the packaging and design is also great!

2. movie: hush

as you can see from the poster and the title, it's a thriller movie and it just came out recently. this movie is awesome! the main character is really unique and I actually really adore her! this movie is not like the ordinary cat-mouse chase between the killer and the victim because the main character is actually deaf which is crazy! The main character is clever, tough, and brave which is why I adore her very much! I really recommend this movie, you can watch the trailer here.

3. kdrama: page turner

first of all, I'm going to clarify that you don't need to worry about being too attached to this drama because of the length of the series because this is actually a mini drama where it only consists of 3 episodes (which i think is wayyy too short D:). this drama is inspiring, hilarious, and heart-warming! it teaches about friendship, family, struggles, hard work, etc. this drama revolves around classical music so it's really exciting and you can learn a thing or two about classical music. what I really like about this drama is it shows the common but serious problems that many people especially teenagers are facing, such as: anxiety, pressure (from parents, teachers, etc), future uncertainty, etc. you can watch the trailer with english sub here.

4. troye sivan's blue neighbourhood album

I know that i'm superlate abou the hype of this album but.. IT'S PERFECT! troye is just a pure genius singer and song writer! my favorite songs from this album are: wild, fools, talk me down, ease, lost boy, & youth. If you haven't listen to this album, YOU NEED TO.

5. book: glass sword by veronica aveyard

this book is the sequel from one of my favorite books which is the red queen by veronica aveyard. first of all, the cover is flawless! it makes my book shelf looks prettier. to be honest, I haven't finished this book yet but so far it's been amazing! the plot is really unexpected and addicting! I'm looking forward to finish this book really soon but at the same time, I want to savour it (the dilemma though ._.).

6. webtoon: flow

if you've read my other post last month about webtoons, you may know about my obsession for it. I started reading this series earlier this month and the early chapters aren't that great, but during season 2 and 3 the story just gets really insane and so exciting! i've finished reading the whole series and it's just really amazing! so in this webtoon, everyone in the world has their own anima or animal gods who can grant their wishes and give them powers. however, some animas are stronger than the others and people are being discriminated and judged based on their animas. one day, the main character wished to turn back time for a day but everything went really wrong because of his wish and the world became in danger because of him. the plot is really unexpected and shocking, the characters are also great!

rant

hey, everyone! for this post I think I'm going to rant about this issue that I've been keeping to myself. so  since none of my friends read this blog anyway, I'm just going to let it out.

so apparently, when I don't go to school, people always assume that I'd fake a sickness. Nope, I'm not exaggerating by putting the word 'always' because this didn't only happen once or twice and it's just frustrating sometimes. i'm just tired of having to explain myself to some people who won't even consider what i'm saying.

last month, I didn't go to school because I had a fever because of an inflammation in my throat and my temperature even reached 39 degrees celsius. but unfortunately, I had to go to school the next day because I had to perform a play at school. the day before, I told some of my friends that I might not go to school if my fever was still high in the next morning. Some told me that it was okay and I should be focused on getting better. unfortunately, some replied with "Oh, you were sick? I thought you skipped school" , "that's no big deal, I'm also sick you know, and I still go to school", "I'm also not feeling well but I'm still going to school though" and so on. so the next day I went to school even though I wasn't feeling well and there were some comments like "oh, you were really sick yesterday? I thought you were faking it", "you seem fine" and so on.

I know that my sickness was not serious, but the fact that some people always have negative thoughts about me and assume bad things about me makes me feel like i'm being attacked. I feel like I'm always obligated to clarify and explain myself to people. sometimes I feel really anxious for things like this because I happen to think that people would misjudge me even for writing this post.

last week, I was sick (again) and I wasn't allowed to go to school by my doctor. so the problem was there was an infection on my right eye that caused bloating and made my eye became bloodshot red and itchy. before I went to the doctor, I thought it was only because I got something in my eye and I should be fine the next day so I told my mom that I still wanted to go to school the next day but my mom didn't allow me to do so. I went to the doctor the next day and the doctor told me that my eye was infected by a virus and it can easily spread to other people, so I wasn't not allowed to go to school for three days.

on the third day, I had to attend my seniors' graduation because I was participating in a performance. during the rehearsals, there were some comments like "you seem fine. why didn't you go to school?" , "your eyes seem to be fine you know" and so on. even one of my teachers also said that and to be honest I was hurt because of that.

i don't know if i'm being too sensitive or too idealist but even though this is not a major issue, these kind of things really made my anxiety grew bigger and it doesn't feel good at all. I'm not saying that I want people to pay attention and take care of me when i'm sick, I just want people to not assume bad things about me, doubting, and misjudging me. however, I'm grateful for my friends who worried for me and cared about me.

if you're reading until this passage, thank you so much for reading this long and unnecessary and boring rant.

see you on my next post!
