february favorites [ part 2 ]

etc
et cetera
it is a Latin expression that means "and other things", or "and so forth".

In this part, I'm going to talk about entertainment (music, books, apps and movie) and fashion. If you missed the first part of this article about my beauty favorites, you can click here. I hope you all enjoy this article and maybe try out some of them and love them as much as I do!

ENTERTAINMENT : BOOKS

1. Landline by Rainbow Rowell
I've read this book in the past and even though I don't really like romantic/contemporary books, I think this book is one of my favorites. I picked this book as my month's favorite because it matches the valentines theme really well. It's a really easy and enjoyable read about a wife that's unhappy with her 15 year long marriage and she's really struggling to fix her marriage. One day, when she's spending the night in her old bedroom, her old landline has a magical power that allows her to talk to her husband in the past, which means she can change the future.

2. Starters by Lissa Price
This is the book that I'm currently reading, if you're not into contemporary books and you're more into fantasy books, you can try reading this one! This book takes place in the future where teens are able to rent their bodies for seniors who want to be young again, and the girl name Callie finds out about the horrible plan that's going to happen to the teens and only her can stop that from happening.

3. Harry Potter Colouring Book by Scholastic Corporation and Warner Bros.
I got this book as a birthday gift from my sister recently and FYI, I'm a huge potter head so I'm so in love with this book! And also, lately these kind of coloring books are very popular and they help you release stress. I think this book is really unique, because most coloring books are about flowers, cities, etc; but this book is about the magical world of Harry Potter which is awesome!

ENTERTAINMENT : SONGS AND MOVIES

Fool Me Once (2015) - Single, Jess Godwin

click the album art to listen to the song!

1. Hymnn For The Weekend by Coldplay
Coldplay is.. indescribable. When I first downloaded their new album " A Head Full of Dreams", I played Adventure of a Lifetime and Army of One on replay because they were my favorites and I didn't pay much attention to the other songs (which is a terrible mistake that I did). Recently, they released Hymn For the Weekend which they shot in India and it's literally  beautiful, even though it received many critiques, I actually really enjoy the video and the song is amazing! coldplay is awesome already but collaborating with Queen B? I can't handle such awesomeness in one video.

2. Fool Me Once by Jess Godwin
Okay, maybe many of you haven't heard this song because it's really underrated, I actually discovered this song from the Reality show, Dance Moms (yes, I watch dance moms), and of their ex dancer, Chloe Lukasiak, is starring in the music video. The song is really great and unique, Jess Godwin's voice is so soothing and beautiful. Actually, when I first discovered the song, it got stuck in my head for days! p.s: the lyrics is heartbreaking.

3. Bright by Echosmith
This song is perfect for the Valentine's day mood! it's light, sweet, and the lyrics is just lovely( if you're looking for an instagram caption maybe you can quote some of the song's lyrics, trust me). This is by far, one of my favorite Ecoshmith songs.

4. TRNDSTTR by Black Coast (Lucian Remix)
I discovered this song from the app called Musical.ly, and this song is midblowing! the part when the beat drops is really cool. Even though I'm not a big fan of EDMs when it gets to the part where the beat starts to drop, but this song is really an exception, the part when the beat drops is really awesome!

5. Alive by SIA
I first listened this song from her performance in the Voice and I've loved it ever since. Her voice is really unique, especially during the (deliberated) voice cracks in the chorus! I've loved this song before the music video and album came out, but to be honest I'm not a fan of the Music video because I find it a bit boring (in my opinion), but I think SIA has done an amazing job on her album!

6. Runaway & Afire Love by Ed Sheeran
First of all, Ed is bae, he's one of my favorite singers and I've never get bored of his songs. These two songs are my favorites from this album but they're very underrated compared to the songs like "Thinking Out Loud" and "Sing", and I think these songs deserve more acknowledgement, I've had thoughts about if Ed released music videos for every song of his album, all of them would hit the top 50 chart. (p.s: Afire love has a really touching lyrics)

1. The Boy
first of all, LOOK OUT FOR THE PLOT TWIST! the viewers are fooled during 9/10 of the movie and we get to find out the truth during the last 10 minutes of the movie. Overall, I think this movie is great; I love the scare jumps, the plot, the ending, etc. If you enjoy watching horror/thriller movies, then this is a must watch for you. If you want to know what it's about, you should watch the trailer, it's actually quite self explanatory.

2. Madame Antoine
Actually, this is not a movie, but a korean drama series. If you've never watched any korean drama you can start by watching this one! It's a romantic comedy drama that's really hilarious and has a great plot! If you want to watch it, I recommend this website : www.tiveee.com it has no ads, it's fast, and the video quality is great! So this drama is about a girl who claimed that she has a spiritual connection with Marie Antoinette and became a famous fortune teller, but because of the situation that she has, she's forced to work together with a genius psychology professor who will turn her world upside down.

FASHION / ACCESSORIES

1. Kate Spade Sling bag in the color Fuchsia
I got this bag long time ago and right now, it's one of my favorite bags. It matches the valentine's vibe because the pink/fuchsia color really stands out. There are also many colors available for this model; you can check it out in kate spade's website.

2. Alice in Wonderland Phone Case
One of the prettiest phone cases that I've ever owned. But the thing that it's lacking is it doesn't protect the front screen and that's why I rarely use this case. Nonetheless, this case is definitely my favorite because Alice in wonderland is one of my favorite movies ever and the design is so pretty.

February Favorites [ part I ]

Valentine's day is just right around the corner, and either you want it or not, you can see the signs everywhere; supermarkets set up extra racks for chocolates, restaurants promote their romantic dinner packages, and almost every public place is decorated with valentines themed decorations. Well, of course as a teenage girl, I have my favourite things that are affiliated with the valentines day vibes. So, I want to share my valentines related and non-related favourites with you, and this post will be divided into two parts, this one is going to be all about the beauty products.

1. Chocolate lip balm by Ocean

Do you notice those chocolate shaped lip balms? Yep, they smell like actual chocolates (which is awesome!) plus they also moisturise your lips and the price is very affordable. This is actually a really great valentine's gift for your friends if you don't want to be mainstream by giving regular chocolates, and actually when I bought them they're sold in a set and it has 9 different shapes( and flavours ), so I kept some for myself and gave some of them to my friends.

2. Lash Perm All Shockcara by Etude House

I'm not a fan of too dramatic or spidery mascaras so this light and curl holding mascara suits me well. Even though some people say that this mascara is too light, I think this is a great pick if you want to go for a natural look, plus it's water proof and affordable.

3. Love you Chérie by Bisous in the colour #3 Dreamy

So, as you can see, this blush has three different colour variations; nude-ish pink, darker pink, and light salmon/orange. I usually apply the bottom two colours to my cheek, and the pink with a hint of orange colour makes my face looks fresh and bright(and also more natural than just a pink blush). I really like this blush because it's not too orange and not too pink and also the packaging is really pretty.

4. Play Pencil 101 by Etude House in the colour 22

This is one of the most popular product by Etude house, because it's very affordable (about $12 each) and multifunctional; you can use it as a lip liner, a blush, an eye shadow, an eye liner, etc. Well, in this case since it's a dark red / burgundy-ish colour, it's preferable to use it as a lip liner or an eyeshadow. I've tried using it as a lip liner and it's really great! It stays on really long and the colour is really pigmented, so if you want to try a dark lip colour and you don't want to buy an expensive lip product, try this instead.

5. Mineralize Glass Lip Gloss by MAC in the colour Be Nice

(Yes, the name is Lip Glass, not Gloss)
If you're not into dark lip colours and bold looks, then maybe this can be an option for you.
It's not too sheer and not too pigmented, also it's not too shiny which is great if you want to go for a natural look. I got this as a gift from a friend and I think she picked a really great colour for me; this colour is soft, slightly coral with a peach undertone. There are many other colours available for this product and you can look it up at MAC's website.

6. Fierce Confidence by Ambercrombie & Fitch

First of all, yes I know it's a men's fragrance but it smells so goooddd.
It smells really fresh and musky (i'm not really a fan of sweet fragrances) and it also smells masculine but not too masculine, which is why I use it. The smell is quite strong and intense at first but it fades eventually but it lasts pretty long. But to be honest, I'm not a fan of the packaging because on the backside of the bottle the picture of the six-pack looks like it is just glued on the bottle which I think makes it look cheap, but overall, I really like this fragrance.

These are my favourite beauty products that I'm using a lot lately. Let me know if you've tried any of the products in the comments! you can also tell me your favourite products!
