may favorites

hello, everyone!
since I'm running out of ideas for my blog post, I decided to do another monthly favorites! so, enjoy!

1. real techniques brushes (core collection)

I've heard so many good things about real techniques brushes and now I finally got my hands on them and asdfghjkl they're amazing! I recently bought this brush set online for a really good deal and it consists of 4 brushes which are: detailer brush, contour brush, pointed foundation brush, and buffing brush. It also came with a case so you can take your brushes with you easily when you're travelling. the brush quality is amazing! they're so soft, they don't shed, easy to wash/clean, and fast to dry! the packaging and design is also great!

2. movie: hush

as you can see from the poster and the title, it's a thriller movie and it just came out recently. this movie is awesome! the main character is really unique and I actually really adore her! this movie is not like the ordinary cat-mouse chase between the killer and the victim because the main character is actually deaf which is crazy! The main character is clever, tough, and brave which is why I adore her very much! I really recommend this movie, you can watch the trailer here.

3. kdrama: page turner

first of all, I'm going to clarify that you don't need to worry about being too attached to this drama because of the length of the series because this is actually a mini drama where it only consists of 3 episodes (which i think is wayyy too short D:). this drama is inspiring, hilarious, and heart-warming! it teaches about friendship, family, struggles, hard work, etc. this drama revolves around classical music so it's really exciting and you can learn a thing or two about classical music. what I really like about this drama is it shows the common but serious problems that many people especially teenagers are facing, such as: anxiety, pressure (from parents, teachers, etc), future uncertainty, etc. you can watch the trailer with english sub here.

4. troye sivan's blue neighbourhood album

I know that i'm superlate abou the hype of this album but.. IT'S PERFECT! troye is just a pure genius singer and song writer! my favorite songs from this album are: wild, fools, talk me down, ease, lost boy, & youth. If you haven't listen to this album, YOU NEED TO.

5. book: glass sword by veronica aveyard

this book is the sequel from one of my favorite books which is the red queen by veronica aveyard. first of all, the cover is flawless! it makes my book shelf looks prettier. to be honest, I haven't finished this book yet but so far it's been amazing! the plot is really unexpected and addicting! I'm looking forward to finish this book really soon but at the same time, I want to savour it (the dilemma though ._.).

6. webtoon: flow

if you've read my other post last month about webtoons, you may know about my obsession for it. I started reading this series earlier this month and the early chapters aren't that great, but during season 2 and 3 the story just gets really insane and so exciting! i've finished reading the whole series and it's just really amazing! so in this webtoon, everyone in the world has their own anima or animal gods who can grant their wishes and give them powers. however, some animas are stronger than the others and people are being discriminated and judged based on their animas. one day, the main character wished to turn back time for a day but everything went really wrong because of his wish and the world became in danger because of him. the plot is really unexpected and shocking, the characters are also great!

rant

hey, everyone! for this post I think I'm going to rant about this issue that I've been keeping to myself. so  since none of my friends read this blog anyway, I'm just going to let it out.

so apparently, when I don't go to school, people always assume that I'd fake a sickness. Nope, I'm not exaggerating by putting the word 'always' because this didn't only happen once or twice and it's just frustrating sometimes. i'm just tired of having to explain myself to some people who won't even consider what i'm saying.

last month, I didn't go to school because I had a fever because of an inflammation in my throat and my temperature even reached 39 degrees celsius. but unfortunately, I had to go to school the next day because I had to perform a play at school. the day before, I told some of my friends that I might not go to school if my fever was still high in the next morning. Some told me that it was okay and I should be focused on getting better. unfortunately, some replied with "Oh, you were sick? I thought you skipped school" , "that's no big deal, I'm also sick you know, and I still go to school", "I'm also not feeling well but I'm still going to school though" and so on. so the next day I went to school even though I wasn't feeling well and there were some comments like "oh, you were really sick yesterday? I thought you were faking it", "you seem fine" and so on.

I know that my sickness was not serious, but the fact that some people always have negative thoughts about me and assume bad things about me makes me feel like i'm being attacked. I feel like I'm always obligated to clarify and explain myself to people. sometimes I feel really anxious for things like this because I happen to think that people would misjudge me even for writing this post.

last week, I was sick (again) and I wasn't allowed to go to school by my doctor. so the problem was there was an infection on my right eye that caused bloating and made my eye became bloodshot red and itchy. before I went to the doctor, I thought it was only because I got something in my eye and I should be fine the next day so I told my mom that I still wanted to go to school the next day but my mom didn't allow me to do so. I went to the doctor the next day and the doctor told me that my eye was infected by a virus and it can easily spread to other people, so I wasn't not allowed to go to school for three days.

on the third day, I had to attend my seniors' graduation because I was participating in a performance. during the rehearsals, there were some comments like "you seem fine. why didn't you go to school?" , "your eyes seem to be fine you know" and so on. even one of my teachers also said that and to be honest I was hurt because of that.

i don't know if i'm being too sensitive or too idealist but even though this is not a major issue, these kind of things really made my anxiety grew bigger and it doesn't feel good at all. I'm not saying that I want people to pay attention and take care of me when i'm sick, I just want people to not assume bad things about me, doubting, and misjudging me. however, I'm grateful for my friends who worried for me and cared about me.

if you're reading until this passage, thank you so much for reading this long and unnecessary and boring rant.

see you on my next post!

my top 10 kdramas

watching korean dramas is one of my favorite activities! sometimes if i'm really addicted to a certain series, i might watch up to 10 episodes a day (which is quite crazy) and when I finish the series, I feel so empty. but of course out of lots of series that i've watched, some left bigger impressions to me than the others; either because of their unpredictable plots, heart warming scenes, and many other aspects. So on this post i'm going to list my top 10 favorite korean drama series. if you haven't watched them, YOU SHOULD.

1. School 2015: who are you

first of all, 2 handsome korean high schoolers (yasssss)
this drama is so unique! the first episodes will leave you confused by the girl's existence (whether she's alive or not, who she really is, her past, etc). there are so many cliff hangers and plot twists followed with the typical triangle love. I don't want to spoil anything, so just watch it!

2. Descendants of the Sun

i'm pretty sure if you know about korean dramas, you'd probably know about this drama because this drama is EPIC, many people consider it as the best kdrama of 2016 and this drama broke its TV channel's viewer percentage record with 32%! An adventurous romance between a handsome soldier and a pretty doctor? yes please!

3. reply 1997 & reply 1988

I think this one's a tie because they have similar a theme which is a throwback to a certain year (1997 and 1988) through two of these, we can experience the year 1997 and 1988 through the characters' point of view which is awesome! we can lean about friendship, family, and love. I personally like reply 1988 better, it's sooo good and addicting!

4. my love from another star

a love story between a famous actress and a handsome alien who has lived for hundreds of years on earth. from that description alone, it's actually quite self-explanatory of how crazy the story is.

5. you're all surrounded

a group of newbie police officers who are struggling to keep up. One of them joined the police to bring justice to her mother's unsolved murder and get revenge. this drama has the mystery, comedy, and a pinch of romance!

6. full house

a classic korean drama!it was released in 2004, I still remember watching this drama with my mom but I couldn't understand anything at that time, so I rewatched it few years ago and it's awesome! it's so funny and entertaining! it's about a famous actor who has a financial issue and due to some circumstances, he had to marry a girl in order to live in the house that the girl owns (but was sold by her friends without her knowledge).

7. its okay thats love

this drama is awesome! it's funny, informative, and touching. it's about a famous writer who wants to write a psychology related story. for inspiration, he decided to live in the same house as a psycologist. later, it is revealed that everone in he house has their own psychological problems and how they overcome it.

8. Good doctor

this drama is so inspiring! it's make you cry and laugh at the same time! it's about a boy who has mental disabilities but he's very smart and he wants to be a doctor. in this drama, we will follow his journey which he stuggles to become a doctor.

9. god's gift 14 days

this drama is really tense! it's about a mother who lost her daughter who was kidnapped and later killed. beacuse she was so depressed about it, she commited suicide but instead of dying, she returned to 14 days before the disappearance of her daughter so she tries to prevent the same thing from occuring but it turns out that there are so many secrets behind her daughter's disappearance.

10. Liar game
this drama is amazing! it's so mind blowing and tense! it's about a reality show where they have to finish the chalenges using psychology. a girl was casted to the show but she's too naive and scared but she needs the prize money so she asked for a help from a genius psychologist. but apparately, the show is very dangerous and full of betrayal. the solutions for the games will make your mind blown!

My thoughts on webtoons + recommedations!

I feel really dumb because I forgot to include this to my last month's monthly favorites but then, I decided to write a whole post just for this since i love this thing soo much! and the thing that I'm talking about iss.... dundundunnn.. WEBTOONS! (wow, what a shocker. I didn't see this coming from the tittle)

if you don't know what a webtoon is, it's basically a web cartoon / web comic.
when I was still in elementary school and middle school I loved reading comic books, actually until now I still do, but now I prefer novels than comics because I don't know.. I grew up? I'm not saying that comic books are childish but in my opinion, most novels' stories are more complex and need more concentration than reading comic books. But of course, my love for comic books is still here. Some of my favorites until now are: Miiko by Ono Eriko and detective conan by Gosho Aoyama. If you haven't read any of them, YOU NEED TO.
Okay, I need to get back to the topic. Lately, I've been loving Line Webtoon, which is an extension from Naver Webtoon, but it's in English, so it's really helpful for international viewers like me. Line webtoon is a platform for webtoon artists to share their stories (you can also post one!) but the ones that are picked by line are the ones that can be featured and viewed by the readers (so the quality is unquestionable), and the best part is THEY'RE FREE! you don't need to buy them, you only need a line account, internet, and this app(the app is also free). Additionally, you can also access webtoon through you pc! heres the link http://www.webtoons.com/

I hope you'll try and enjoy webtoon as much as I do! to get started, here are some of my favorites webtoons so far:

1. heart warming
smile brush (waroo)

smile brush: my old pictures (waroo)

my kitty and old dog (cho)

how to love (dorris mccomics)

2. Thriller/horror
Friday: forbidden tales (jinsoo bae)

tales of the unusual (songdae oh)
chiller (various artists)
dead days (dey)

3. drama
kids are all right (hp56)

dr. frost (jongbeom lee)

4. romance
untouchable (massstar))
the stories of those around me (omyo)

5. fantasy
dice (hyunseok yun)

winter woods(cosmos/van ji)

 6. comedy/slice of life
the sound of your heart (cho seok)
 blue chair(shen)
up and out(jeremy kaye)

Recommended Songs!

Hello again, everyone! On this blog, I'm just going to share the songs that I'm currently loving and been listening to a lot, but I insist that some of these songs are just ugh, YOU NEED TO LISTEN TO THEM if you haven't (you'll thank me later).
some of these songs are new, old, well-known, overrated, etc. Well, this is my music taste (right now, it changes everytime..) and I hope you'll all enjoy these songs!

1. Halsey's badlands album
This album is amazing! I'm falling for Halsey, she has that dark vibe like lana del rey and her song lyrics are just stunning! I really recommend "colors", "castle", and "hold me down". Halsey really needs more recognition though. by the way, you need to watch the music video! (watch out for the plot twist!!!)

2. Hide away by Daya
First of all, her voice is asdffghhjjkll (can't be described). I've been listening to this song on repeat recently! I really like her singing style, the song is also really unique and the vibe is just so chill and it's just a perfect car-ride song!

4. 7 years by Lukas Graham
Do I need to explain anything? I assume almost everyone knows this song now, I actually found out this song from the app musical.ly, and this song is just so so so so good and unique!

5. Here & Wild Things by Alessia Cara
Her voice is amazing! I think she has a similar vibe with Daya and I really have a thing with these kind of artists, her songs are also amazing! I think she also has Lorde's vibe which is like the rebellious teenagers stuff. You know what, just download the whole album "know-it-all"! also, with no means to offend the artist, I think she sounds a bit like Justin Bieber's old voice (especially in the song "i'm yours) which is cool for me, because I used to really like Justin.

6. Hotel Ceiling by Rixton
This song has been sticking inside my mind for months! the music and the vocal is just so soothing and relaxing and also emotional at the same time! I recommend watching the music video! the plot twist is just so crazy! fun fact, this song is co-written by Ed sheeran! (I think it sounds like photograph)

7. What I did for love by David Guetta feat Emeli Sande
This is my no.1 gym/workout song at the moment! This song energises me and make me feel excited and more motivated! The lyrics is heartbreaking though.

8. Haiz album by Hailee Steinfield
I used to really like this album, and recently I've been listing to it again! and now I can't stop listening to it again. My current favorites are "hell nos and headphones" and "rock bottom"! I really can relate to "hell nos and headphones" which is one of the reasons why I really love the song!

9. Irresistible by Fallout Boy feat. Demi Lovato
FOB collab with Demi?? I can't handle such awesomeness!! The song is soo good (especially the intro) their vocals are also so on point! they compliment each other's voices so well!
